Actress Tania Zaetta Gets Aussie Apology

Why is this news? Well, it is newsworthy for two reasons:
First, Tania Zaetta was falsely accused of having sex with Australian troops during her visit to a military base.
Second, Tania Zaetta is incredibly hot. And hot broads always get post space here. Heh. She is also a woman who goes out of her way for the troops, a la Gary Sinise, and people like her get post space as well.
Australia’s military chief personally apologized to a London-based entertainer for falsely accusing her of having sex with elite special forces soldiers while on a concert tour at a military base in Afghanistan, AFP reported.
She didn’t have sex with the soldiers. Dammit, I already enlisted in the Australian armed forces! Now, I’ll have to make a pass at my commanding officer to get discharged.
Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston met with Tania Zaetta and her family Tuesday to apologize for naming her in the baseless defense briefing note, which was leaked to the press and landed the 38-year-old on the cover of many tabloids.
This chick is 38? Damn, she doesn’t look it. Of course, with a personal trainer and a lot of makeup, I too could look younger.
“There was no substance to the allegations,” Houston said in a statement. “Ms. Zaetta gave her time and her talent to entertain our forces serving in Afghanistan and she deserves our praise and our thanks. I have also made clear to Ms Zaetta that she is welcome to again join a Forces Entertainment Tour in the near future.” (H/T - FOXNews)
Despite Houston’s despicable comments, Zaetta would probably return to entertain the troops because she has made many appearances before the rumor was started. From what I have read about her, she appreciates the troops and their mission - despite the idiocy of a certain commander.
