Why Women Should Feel Good Naked
By Wyatt Earp | January 24, 2009
I think naked women feel great! Oh, that’s not what the article was inferring. My bad. Either way, this is the greatest story ever!
For years Laure Redmond hated her body: too fat, too freckled, too lumpy, too stumpy. And that hatred was like a set of shackles holding her back from life.
Hey, I only want to hear about hot women getting naked! The thought of fat, stumpy people are killing my mood! Heh.
Now a self-esteem coach who specializes in mind/body issues, Redmond has made a career of helping women and teenage girls get over what she calls their body demons. Her goal for them is summed up in the title of her 2001 book: “Feel Good Naked.”
It’s not about naked for naked’s sake, she says it’s about the amazing confidence that comes with being at ease in your own skin. (H/T – CNN)
I wholeheartedly agree, and if any of my female readers want to explore this “era of good feeling,” they can share their thoughts (and photos) with me. It’s okay, I’m a police officer – we’re like doctors.

I’m at your back Wyatt, and I’ll be glad to crosspost any submissions at my own site for you.
P.S. Nguyen’s cute, but let’s start with Robin Meade m’kay?

Sick, Wyatt, just sick. Asking for pictures of naked teenage girls. Just twisted.

Ha ha ha ha….send you naked photos….you’re so funny!

Since only a very small percent of the population could be considered hot, clothes may be a good thing. Too much nakedness could be bad indeed. Ask a doctor some time.

I agree with everyone’s statements above.

Can’t wait to read about the photos you’re going to receive. There are lots of exhibitionists out there, and they ain’t all hot!

Betty Nguyen – a very pretty woman and all the more so for not being in your face.
It is a serious point, though. There is so much BAD talk about overweight, obese, etc. that many girls and women feel bad about themselves. Sandy Szwarc is brilliant (came second in her class in the blog awards):

Naked (or any) pictures of me come with a free supply of eye bleach.
Only one person is allowed to see me naked. And the room has to be dark first.

Alan ~ So many women and girls feel bad about themselves no matter what because the marketing industry has pushed a very warped view on what women should look like nad have hyper-sexualized young girls to the point that 2nd graders are trying to look “sexy” without even knowing what it means. Even “children friendly” has become hyper-sexualized both in television/music industry and in the toy/clothing line.
While I like the fact that someone is standing up and saying that women should feel better in their skin, I don’t think getting naked is the way to go.
I look at pictures of myself pre-children and thought I was huge then. Now, I am wishing I were that size. I am careful about my dieting around my children and how I talk about my weight because I don’t want them having to fight an eating disorder when they get older due to warped body images.
Anyway, this is Wyatt’s blog, not mine so I will bow out now. Why I did not see Alan’s comment until a few minutes ago, I don’t know. But I did have to reply to it.
Yes, GB is filled with idiots and that is not the way to deal with obesity. But obese or anorexic, body image is a serious issue for many, many women and young girls. I battled bulimia for over 10 years and am scared to death that I will become bulemic again while trying to shed the post-children weight. It is a frightening tight-rope walk some days.

Hi Kim
It’s because it IS a serious issue that within a jokey, slightly risque, set of comments I put up the link to junkfood science. She has said a LOT of really good stuff about body image, peer pressure etc. etc. of which the page I linked to is only an example. It is a seriously good site and deserves to be better klnown. You may find parts of it that could help. I have literally cheered some of the things she has written.
“Yes, GB is filled with idiots …”
True, but there are a few of us that are sane, sensible, clever, handsome … Ah, perhaps not. Scrub that last bit.

Dang, I clicked on this link thinking I was gonna see some naked women! What a let down! I guess I’ll just go back to Fox News.
