When Does North Korea Get Theirs?

And when the Hell will the administration, the pundits, and the mainstream media stop talking about pretty much everything else, and start talking about the threat against Hawaii? Maybe it’s me, but if I were in the Oval Office and North Korea threatened to fire a missile at one of my states, I would be sending the 7th Fleet to the Korean Peninsula, post haste!
I would also make this absolutely clear: The United States will not tolerate threats against our states, territories, or protectorates, and we will meet any action with excessive force.
I am not necessarily browbeating Obama here, because I know he has to try “diplomacy,” but this whole situation pisses me off. Then again, attitudes like those are why I would never be elected Dog Catcher, let alone POTUS.
WASHINGTON — Defense Secretary Robert Gates said that the United States could defend itself should North Korea launch a missile toward Hawaii and that U.S. officials are carefully monitoring the reclusive nation’s military.
North Korea is preparing to launch a missile over Pacific Ocean waters, Japanese media reported Thursday.
With missile interceptors and radar equipment deployed in and near Hawaii, “we are in a good position should it become necessary to protect American territory,” Gates said Thursday.
Not that I am doubting the country’s anti-missile technology, but how many of you living in Hawaii are comforted by Gates’ reassurances? Personally, I would be loading up the truck and moving to Beverly . . . Hills, that is.
Meanwhile, the U.S. military is tracking a North Korean ship in the Pacific that is believed to be carrying illicit weapons or technology, a senior U.S. official said Thursday.
While the United States does not know what is on the ship, the Kang Nam is a “repeat offender,” known for having carried “proliferation materials,” one senior defense official said.
Then maybe we should stop tracking it and start blocking it? just sayin’.
Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Thursday that the United States would not forcibly board a North Korean ship but, in accordance with a recent U.N. resolution, would request permission to search the ship or press any port the ship docks in to inspect it for illegal materials. Yep, the admiral just lost me there. I would defer to my resident expert in all matters naval, but I think that relying on U.N. sanctions is a big mistake. The frakkin’ country threatened to fire a missile at Hawaii and we are going to deal with these dog-eating bastards with kid gloves?

Request permission? Are they nutz??????????? And if they say NO, are you going to say ok and walk away? Oh wait, here’s a novel idea, let’s read them their Miranda Rights too! That way they can not only say no, but I want a lawyer too. Remember, everyone has those rights now a days. Not just Americans. We should also invite them in for coffee and cookies while we are at it, and see if we can’t come to a mutual understanding, that would benefit both sides. As for your comment about having faith in our anti-missile technology… Who decides when to deploy it? How long will they wait? And what if something goes horribly wrong, and it fails? Sorry folks, I can live with him spending our country into the $hitter, I can live with sending our troops overseas to help out other countries, but I CAN NOT live with them playing Russian Roulette with the lives of an entire state. President Bush went against everyone when he decided to head into Iraq. I think it’s time for President Obama to grow a set, and do the same thing in this instance.
Duct tape isn’t going to help me on this one, it may be time for a tall strong one.

No problemo ..Easily lost..The cant of your rant pretty much follows everyones slant. Not calling for genocide but..couldn’t we just nuke em first:) LOL Makes sense to me.
This one will fall short by a few hundred to a thousand kilometers of Hawaii, its really meant to “beatch slap the One”.

Just board the ship with our well trained Navy Seals and take it and its crew into custody – if the Ship has these materials on board. Seize it. Just like they did with one our Navy vessels for supposedly crossing into their waters years ago. The crew was charged as Spy’s.
Why do we allow these degenerates who worship Images – literally Pictures on a wall of their Supreme Leader. As if it were God, in the flesh.
Did anyone see Lisa Ling’s documentary on North Korea’s healthcare system? Or, rather. Lack of one.
She went in as part of an Eye Doctor’s team. From Nepal, I believe. To film/document what the physician was doing for the People of North Korea who had simple eye problems. Such as cataracts. The Doctor performed over 1,000 procedures on his own dime – none were paid for by North Korea or their beloved Supreme Leader. Kim Jon ILL. He is ILL alright.
Who did these people thank for their new found eyesight? Some had not seen in 20+ years. Not the Doctor. But, their Leader!! It was frightening to see these simple, yet brainwashed member’s of their society. Repeatedly bow and make devotions to their Leader (The Picture hanging on the Wall) for bringing back their sight. Including, making vows to Fight the Americans to their Deaths’.
The longer we put up with an Extreme and Warped view of us. The more American lives and those of our Allies will be lost when we do deal with it. God forbid. That they actually have nuclear weapons when we do decide to take action.

“Hello N. Korean suspect ship!!” “Are you carrying any prohibited cargo or nuclear materials?”
N.Korean commander:
“Solly, no undastan ingliss prease.” “We top nice guy, no bad thing on ship.” “We go now.”
U.S. Naval Commander:
“Ok, sorry to slow you down.” “Just checking!” “Have a nice trip now!!” “Watch out for pirates.” “Byeeeee!!!”
