Congressman Wilson: Just An Average Joe

You have to feel badly for Congressman Joe Wilson. After an ill-advised shout out to Obama during a joint session of Congress, he has been a bigger target that Rosie O’Donnell’s tramp stamp. Nancy BOTOX Pelosi demanded that Wilson jump through hoops and apologize to every single American personally despite the fact that he apologized to the president already. Nonplussed, Pelosi held a vote to censure the South Carolina Republican on Tuesday. How’s that for politics as usual?
These shenanigans are the subject of my article at Family Security Matters. Here’s a sample:
A full week after the “You Lie!” congressional outburst, the Joe Wilson Shooting Gallery is still open for business. Politicians, pundits, and moonbats alike are still calling for the South Carolina congressman’s head on a silver platter, but since the Obama economy is still in the sewer with the alligators and my son’s pet goldfish, legislators will have to settle for a paper plate. The last time someone gave Mr. Wilson this much trouble, it was during an episode of Dennis the Menace.
For his part, Wilson immediately expressed his regret for the incident. Unfortunately, he had to go through Rahm Emmanuel, because President Obama’s “Open Door” always seems to get stuck when a Republican comes a-callin’. Someone in the White House Tool Shed – otherwise known as Hillary Clinton’s office – needs to go to Lowe’s and buy some WD-40.
Nevertheless, the congressman told the president he was sorry and the apology was accepted.
For most people, the apology would be enough. For the Democrat-controlled Congress? Not so much. Nancy Pelosi and her legion of the undead demanded a few pounds of flesh from Representative Wilson, as well as a few quarts of precious, tasty blood. Naturally, human blood is the only thing that keeps Pelosi looking so “young and vibrant,” which explains why the vampires enacted their own brand of “even-handed” justice:

You know, maybe I could muster a little more outrage over Wilson’s “You lie” outburst, if Obama hadn’t actually been lying and calling other people liars at the time!

Joe has made a pretty good chunk of change, over that shout. I think he’s stronger, now. The race card being whipped out, right before this massive ACORN scandal, is rewriting this whole issue before our eyes. There are also plenty of black conservatives calling Obama the liar he is.

Proof – And the outrage over that? Nil.
Rick – I agree. Inappropriate timing, but he was spot on.
Insol – I heard Stephen A. Smith ripping the race-baiters on Mark Levin’s show. Stephen A. Freakin’ Smith! Now, I don’t care for that guy, but kudos to him for speaking out.
Old NFO – I know Joe was. Obama? Not so much.
