Obama Rates His First Year In Office
By Wyatt Earp | December 14, 2009
The man actually gave himself a “good, solid B+.” Bawahahahahahaha!
President Barack Obama, in an interview that aired Sunday, gave himself “a good solid B-plus” grade for his first year in office.
Speaking with fellow Chicagoan Oprah Winfrey, the president claimed progress on economic and international fronts….
Speaking of that economic progress:
…More than 35 million low-income Americans (16 million households) received federal Food Stamp/SNAP benefits in June 2009, an increase over the 13 million households that received assistance in June 2008. Congress allocated $54 billion for the program in 2009, up from $39 billion last year, to cover the growing number of eligible families… (H/T - Ace of Spades)
Pretty bad, and that doesn’t even mention that the president tripled the deficit, nearly doubled the unemployment rate, and increased the national debt to $12 trillion – all in his first year.
This deserves a B+?
Pretty arrogant, if you ask me. Maybe that is why his job approval just reached a new low at 44% today.

So what would earn Obama an “A” grade, performance-wise? Collapsing the dollar and touching off a global depression? Dividing the body politic to the point of a second American Civil War? Letting Iran get nukes and thus igniting a nuclear war in the Middle East (and perhaps New York City)?
At the rate we’re going, all three of those hypotheticals will come to pass next year or 2011. So get your report cards ready.
And stock up on gold, canned goods, ammunition and other necesseties while you have the chance…

Guys, guys, it all depends on what your goal is….and I am pretty sure that it is not to make things better for the Mr. Regular Joe. So, in that respect, he has screwed us pretty will, but not to that A+ level yet.

Wes S. – He reportedly said the only thing keeping him from giving HIMSELF an A was that he hasn’t been able to force ObamaCare down our throats. Swell.
Rob – If there is a more arrogant person on this earth, I haven’t seen him yet.

Well shooting deaths of Police Officers is up 24% under Obama. If they can blame Katrina on W then that must be Obama’s fault too.

Ingineer66 – I blame that on the toad motherf**kers who think assaulting cops gives them street cred.
Clady – I prefer “Brutal.”

It is interesting that Obama uses the metric of a grade to evaluate himself. It suggests that he is completely at home in the academic world where words are more important than deeds. That may be why the academics love him so. Unfortunately for Obama, lots of citizens think deeds are more important than words.

Rick – In all seriousness, I would probably give him a solid C-. He inherited an economic mess thanks to the first congressional bailout, but he did more than his fair share of turning that mess into a catastrophe.

God Save the United States……….

Wyatt, you silly bitter clinger! Poll numbers were only important during the waning days of the Bush presidency. Now that the 0ne has ascended to his throne, such silly and meaningless tracking mechanisms like these obsolete ‘polls’ and ‘approval ratings’ have no further use.

LDIV – I did, too. Was no big fan of McCain, but considering the alternative . . .
Fenway_Nation – Besides, it’s all Bush’s fault!

Don’t blame me, I voted for the Hot Chick and the old guy.
If you look at what set out to do (in contrast to what he campaigned on doing), from a socialist stand point he’s probably right. Nationalized the banking industry, nationalized the insurance industry, nationalized the auto industry, well on his way to make everyone equally poor, except for the mass murder, this guy makes Stalin look like a capitalist.
If your judging him on an American President standard, even grading on a curve with Carter in there, he’s a solid D-. I give him that high of a score for his continuation of the predator strikes in Pakistan Bush policy.

Nationalized the banking industry – not true.
Nationalized the insurance industry – not true.
Nationalized the auto industry – not true.
Somebody call the Waaaahmbulance!

The guy is certainly “cocky”. ba dum dum.
December 15th, 2009 at 6:32 pm
That reminds me, next you’ll probably say that they don’t want to nationalize healthcare, just ‘reform’ it.
Oh wait….the apparently the 0bama Administration already ‘reformed’ GM, AIG and Citigroup.
/got it now

Only through affirmative action can Obama turn an F into a B+.
