New York To Zombies: “Stay Dead”
By Wyatt Earp | October 26, 2010
this morning, as the walking dead roamed the streets around MSG. Hmm, I thought the Rangers looked a little lifeless.
As if the morning commute weren’t odd enough, intrepid New Yorkers trying to make their way to work had to battle past hordes of the walking dead. Two dozen zombies, their clothes spattered with fake blood, were staggering up and down the block Tuesday outside Madison Square Garden.
Some pedestrians looked startled or amused by the ghost-white actors with bruised-looking eyes. Some people ignored them entirely. Others whipped out their cell phone cameras. The stunt was part of a campaign promoting the Halloween premiere of the AMC television series “The Walking Dead.”
I already have my TiVo set up for the zombie goodness! So does she.

Wyatt:
ROFLMAO…the Rangers comment…brilliant!
Hell, we used to go up to NYC during the Broad Street Bully heydays wearing OUR jerseys….talk about “fun”.
It’s legal to carry a BROADSWORD downtown, right? (j/k)
Don’t want to give anyone ideas.
Walking dead…sounds JUST like the DEMS…LOL

“Some people ignored them entirely.”
Now those are New Yorkers!

They look like a bunch of damned dirty hippies in that picture!
Speaking of, if they were, there was probably some in the mix too.

They are just democrats going to the polls.

Robert – Well, they do have the dead vote, especially across the river in Hudson county.

Bob G. – I went to MSG to see a Rangers/Flyers game a few years back. I wore my Gretzky Rangers jersey. Love the Flyers, but I love Gretz more.
Smite – Zombie hippies. I wonder which smell overtakes the other: the undead or the patchouli?
Robert B. – Making the rounds through the northeastern states, I guess.

Pretty cool event. I might be going on a zombie walk some students have organized on Friday evening. I haven’t made up my mind yet.

Heh, I was almost a part of that. Ill be working with the marketing company that put that together, next week instead at the NY marathon (not Zombie related).
October 27th, 2010 at 10:43 pm
Heh, I should advertise my zombie book, wear one of those signs as I’m shambling along.

Hmm… Y’know, it’s kind of funny, I haven’t heard of any zombie uprisings like this down here in Florida… Oh, right, we’d shoot them. Guess they need to stick to places like N.Y.C., Chicago, & L.A.
At least for now.

Kerri – I would love to see you at the marathon as a zombie. It would liven the event up!
DL474 – Can’t hurt, right?
PhillipC – Probably not a lot in Texas either.
October 28th, 2010 at 6:55 am
Sorry not actually going to be zombie related what Ill be doing for them. Its going to be for another client of that marketing company. It would be pretty funny if zombies were to run the marathon though.
Brainssssss! Stop running so I can eat your brainsssss!
